Breadcrumb

The Breadcrumb navigation appears below the main navigation bar. In this example, the breadcrumb trail reads
Figure 1: Example of a Breadcrumb.

The Breadcrumb is a preset system component that displays a page’s path from the homepage on a website. It displays below the Header and the Hero Banner, if included on the page. By default, most pages are set to display the breadcrumb, but in certain circumstances, it may be hidden from the page.

Examples of pages that may hide the breadcrumb:

  • Site homepage
  • Campaign landing page
  • Database driven page (news story, event)

It’s also possible to set up pages to not display in the website’s breadcrumb path.
