Once a story is published in Content Hub Ops, it becomes live on the MSUToday website. At this point, the preview link transitions into a public URL. The content item becomes listed on the MSUToday website menu, the item is indexed and searchable (i.e., crawlable by search bots), and the content is visible to all audiences.
After publishing, the story enters a locked state. This means content fields, metadata and taxonomy fields can no longer be modified by a content author. These fields are preserved to ensure consistent tagging, reporting and governance across published content.
There may be rare occurrences where further updates are needed to a content item after publication. For example, there may be a typo. To make these changes:
The URL remains the same. The story, with its corresponding updated fields and content, is updated on MSUToday. Allow a few minutes for changes to propagate to servers. Refresh your browser or clear your cache if the changes are not appearing after publication.
