Account and Post Insight Alerts

Use Case

Sprinklr offers manual alerts based on account or post insights. At this time, smart alerts powered by artificial intelligence are not available for reporting insights. Users can utilize alerts to send notifications (email and/or platform) when the account or post insights pick up trends that match the rules defined for the alert. For example, alerts can notify staff of unusual follower account activity.

Creating Account Insights Alerts

  1. Open a New Page tab in Sprinklr.
  2. Navigate to the Platform Modules menu section and click “Alert Manager” under the “Mitigate Brand Crisis” sub-menu in the Love column. If a user does not see this option, they do not have role permissions for alerts. Contact University Communications and Marketing to request access.
  3. Click the New Alert button (top right corner).
  4. Name the alert. Be sure it is specific enough that it is clear what the alert is doing. Users also may add a description and tags to assist with sorting/filtering alerts and to help others know more about the alert’s function.
  5. Select “Account Insights” from the Module drop-down menu.
  6. Select the main filter dimension(s). Multiple dimensions can be selected. The options include:
    1. Account
    2. Account Group
    3. Social Network
    4. Client — This refers to MSU (institutional workspace) or MSU Partners (rest of campus). This setting will not be useful for most MSU Sprinklr users.
    5. Client Group
    6. User
    7. User Group
  7. Select the additional dimensions required based on the selection in step No. 6.
  8. Choose an alert time frame.
  9. Select the alert actions. Options include:
    1. Send Email Notification — Listed recipients (Sprinklr users, user group members or external email addresses) receive notification via email.
    2. Send Platform Notification — Listed Sprinklr users receive a Sprinklr notification when logged into the browser version of Sprinklr. The notification will appear on the bell icon in the top right corner of the window.
  10. Adjust the settings for the alert, such as subject line, from address and timestamp messaging.
  11. Optional: Check “Add to Queue” to add the alert to an alert queue. The alert queue must be created first.
  12. Click “Save.”
  13. Monitor the alert and adjust settings as necessary.
