Custom Metrics

Use Case

Depending on unit reporting needs, users may find that Sprinklr does not have the exact metric available that are needed for use on reporting dashboards. The solution for this is to create a custom metric. This is an advanced technique and likely will not be needed by most users.

Users wishing to create a custom metric for unit account(s), please see the “Create a Custom Metric in Reporting” page of the Sprinklr Knowledge Portal for instructions and examples.

Checklist for Custom Metrics

  1. Navigate to “Reporting” under “Analyze” on Sprinklr menu.
  2. Click the three dots button next to the search bar to open the optional menu. Select “Custom Metrics.”
  3. Click the Add Custom Metric button.
  4. Build the metric. Click “Create.”
  5. Find the metric in the list. Click the three dots icon at the left side of the metric name and select “Governance.”
  6. Adjust settings so the metric is only shared with the unit’s user group(s).

Note: It is a best practice to restrict access to any custom metrics so that no one can accidentally change the settings and impact unit data.

  • After creating a custom metric, a user can view the list of custom metrics by hovering over the three dots on the left end of the row and select “Governance” from the pop-up menu.
  • Uncheck “Share with everyone,” make sure the “Select Workspaces to share with” field is empty and add the unit’s user group(s) to the “Select User/User groups to give provisioned access” field.
