Sitecore Training

As an enterprise content management system, Sitecore is a powerful tool. University Communications and Marketing has developed a training program for Sitecore users to help them make the most of the platform. The training session, combined with the resources available on this website, should help users achieve their website creation and maintenance goals.

What to Expect

Basic training is a live instructor-led virtual session presented via Teams. Attendees are introduced to Sitecore’s basic concepts. Training is generic, not site-specific.

Attendance at a basic training session is required before a user can access and work on a website in Sitecore. Site owners must also approve access requests for new users.

Who Should Attend

Training is intended for anyone who develops, edits, reviews or publishes content using the SitecoreAI content management system. Training is required for system access, even if website maintenance is not a primary job responsibility.

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge of Sitecore, content management systems or HTML/CSS coding is required.

SitecoreAI trainees will be required to watch a brief introductory training video and to activate their user account prior to training. Information regarding these tasks will be sent via email after training registration is complete.

Schedule and Registration

SitecoreAI training is generally held every other week. View the current schedule of training sessions on the Events and Training page. Occupancy in each training is capped to ensure trainers can address questions in the available time.

The Digital Experience program manager will coordinate training availability and registration with users. Email KKelly@msu.edu to register.
