Required Components

    • Component information for websites built on Sitecore

Required Brand Standards

All university websites must adhere to MSU brand standards, outlined on the MSU Brand Studio website. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Approved use of logos and marks
  • Use of official brand color palette
  • Adherence to Editorial Style Guide
  • Use of university-approved web fonts
Perk of using Sitecore: As an enterprise CMS, any websites built using SitecoreAI and using component library elements will have built-in access to the brand-aligned masthead, search tool, legal footer, color palette and web fonts.

Note: The use of college, department, center, unit and program logos or marks is not permitted on external communications, including websites.

Exceptions:

  • National laboratories (e.g., Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, National Superconducting Cyclotron Lab)
  • Externally facing, revenue-generating units (e.g., MSU Health Team, MSU Press, Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center)
  • Cultural entities (e.g., Broad Art Museum, Wharton Center for Performing Arts)
