Create and Manage Content

The following sections of the Content Hub Operations Guide provide an overview of steps required to create and manage content.

General Instructions

The following pages offer step-by-step instructions for each state in the content production workflow. Follow these steps, in order, as dictated by the content sub-type and content template needs for the project.

Note: Not all workflows follow all these formal steps, but the general content creation process is similar across all content types.

1. Initiate Content

Initiate content to add to the calendar and assign a workflow, template and metadata.

Review step 1

2. Content Development

Create the content, upload a draft for review and submit.

Review step 2

3. Review

Iterate content based on reviewer feedback until the content is approved.

Review step 3

4. Edit

The Editing team reviews for clarity, voice and alignment to editorial guidelines.

Review step 4

5. Reconcile Edits

The Content Author incorporates final edits into the content and finalizes the document.

Review step 5

6. Load Text

The approved content document is loaded into Content Hub using data fields and components.

Review step 6

7. Validate Taxonomy

All required and pertinent optional metadata and taxonomy are finalized.

Review step 7

8. Prepare to Publish

View a preview link of the content, then finalize and publish the page.
