SitecoreAI Release Notes: August 11, 2026

Summary

The August 11 deployment includes a major Content SDK platform update that touches components and variants across the project. This release also includes Program Finder improvements, listing page usability updates, new CTA and Hero component options, media display fixes, security updates and several Content SDK component refinements.

This release will be pushed to production after 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 11.

New Features

Content SDK Platform Update

  • Completed a major Content SDK update across the platform, including updates to all components and variants.
  • This foundational update supports the continued evolution of the platform and enables future capabilities for personalization, analytics and component testing.
  • While no issues are expected, site owners and content authors may want to review key pages after the release because this update touches components and variants used across the project.

This update helps position the platform for future capabilities, including:

  • Future support for personalization and component testing without custom development.
  • Improved access to Sitecore content and layout data through GraphQL utilities.
  • Built-in support for analytics, event tracking and personalization.

Program Finder Filter Improvements

  • Updated Program Finder filters so filter titles are selectable.
  • Added a visual indicator to filter labels to improve usability.
  • Updated filter item behavior so users can more easily select and interact with filters.
  • Updated filter options so they remain visible for a clearer filtering experience.

Hero Component Secondary CTA

  • Added support for a secondary CTA button option in Hero components.

Dropdown CTA Button Component

  • Added a Dropdown Call to Action button component to support additional navigation and action options.

Mobile Filter Popup for Listing Pages

  • Added a mobile filter popup for listing pages to improve the filter experience on smaller screens.

Enhancements

Listing Page Improvements

  • Improved listing page filter behavior, including how filters display, narrow and interact with search results.
  • Updated pagination behavior so users return to the top of the facets area on Sitecore Search listing pages.
  • Continued work to determine improved relevance ordering for listing page facets.

Featured News Component

  • Updated the See All News button alignment in the Featured News component so the button displays left-aligned.

Button Accessibility Improvements

  • Improved green button hover color contrast to better support accessibility.

Landing Hero Banner Controls

  • Restricted the Landing Hero Banner so it can only be used with Landing Page templates.

Bug Fixes (Platform)

Search and Listing Pages

  • Fixed an issue where the /search item could publish as a blank page.
  • Fixed an issue where applying a filter could incorrectly narrow the number of available filters.
  • Fixed an issue where Sitecore Search listing page pagination did not return users to the expected filter area.

Program Finder

  • Fixed Program Finder filter behavior to improve consistency when users select filter labels and filter values.
  • Improved Program Finder search discoverability through keyword synonym support.

Security and Configuration

  • Fixed a possible tab nabbing security issue.

Component Display and Behavior

  • Fixed an issue where the 3 Small Grid was missing the third item.
  • Fixed Text Fact Grid image variation issues.
  • Fixed an issue where YouTube videos did not play in the Video component.
  • Fixed Mixed Content one-column display issues.
  • Fixed Mixed Content one-column social display issues.
  • Fixed mixed-media full bleed image display behavior.
  • Fixed an issue where the Image component was not constrained to story column width.
  • Fixed an issue where the MSUToday Quote Box was missing an image.
  • Fixed an issue where Tabs content disappeared at certain tablet and mobile screen widths.

News, Events and Story Components

  • Fixed Featured News and Events event display issues.

Carousel

  • Fixed issues when adding images to a carousel in Page Builder.

Landing Pages

  • Fixed an issue where a Landing Page with a Full Footer could appear blank when created.
