Summary

This release focuses on accessibility, workflow reliability, publishing consistency and search configuration updates. Changes include improvements to the Hero Banner and Table components, workflow approval behavior, Accordion authoring support and Google Search Console configuration for several sites.

New Features

Simple Accordion Panel

  • Added support for a Simple Accordion Panel to provide an additional option for organizing expandable content. 

Google Search Console Configuration

  • Added Google Search Console configuration items for selected sites, including apastudies20thanniversary.msu.edu, attawards.msu.edu and neurology.msu.edu. 

Global Google Search Console Middleware

  • Added global Google Search Console middleware to support site verification and search-related configuration needs. 

Enhancements

Hero Banner Accessibility Improvements

  • Updated the Hero Banner component so the banner description no longer uses a heading level that could interfere with proper page structure. 

Workflow Approval Improvements

  • Fixed workflow approval behavior to improve consistency in the content review and publishing process. 

AI Bot Traffic Controls

  • Updated behavior to help prevent AI bot traffic when pages are set as No Index. 

Bug Fixes (Platform)

Accessibility & UI Improvements

  • Corrected heading structure in the Hero Banner component to improve accessibility and semantic markup. 

Workflow & Publishing

  • Fixed an issue affecting workflow approval behavior.
  • Fixed an issue where updates to Table components were not publishing correctly. 

Component Updates

  • Improved Table component publishing behavior to ensure content updates appear as expected. 

Impact for Content Authors and Administrators

  • Hero Banner content has improved accessibility and page structure.
  • Workflow approval behavior is more reliable.
