SitecoreAI Release Notes: December 23, 2025

Summary

This release delivers improvements to platform accessibility, usability, security and efficiency.  Fixes address issues with main and curated navigation, decorative element consistency and form field handling.

The release will be pushed to production after 8:00pm on Tuesday, December 23. 

New Features

  • Legacy Forms Handler - Checkboxes
    • The forms handler for legacy email forms now handles checkbox fields. 

Enhancements

  • Site creation and reporting scripts
    • Site creation scripts were modified to automate new site feature and settings, reducing the time and effort required to add new sites.
    • Site platform reporting scripts were created to help ensure consistency across the platform.

Bug Fixes (Platform)

Navigation and Accessibility

  • People list page: Clear button added to empty search
    • Adds a “Clear” button that allows users to empty the search field after performing a search.
  • Table component: Column labels visible in mobile view
    • The table component now collapses on mobile, and column headers are used as labels for the contents of each row.
  • Curated navigation menu appearance
    • Adds decorative green bar to curated navigation menus to match the styling of contextual navigation menus.
  • Curated navigation starting location
    • Corrects the positioning of curated navigation menus on mobile when scrolling.
  • Main navigation link column placement
    • Corrects an issue that prevented some main navigation sub-items from being rendered in the correct column.

Publishing

  • MSUToday stories appearance in RSS
    • Prevents stories from appearing in the RSS prior to their publish date.

Security

  • NextJS security update
    • Addresses security vulnerabilities. See https://nextjs.org/blog/security-update-2025-12-11 for details. 

Configuration Changes

  • Web Application Firewall
    • Newly created sites will have the Netlify WAF enabled in active mode upon creation going forward, as opposed to being disabled or enabled in passive mode as was the past practice.
