XM Cloud Release Notes: October 21, 2025

Summary

This release focuses on improving performance, accessibility and publishing reliability across the platform and MSUToday. Updates include enhancements to contextual navigation, component styling and publishing stability, along with multiple fixes addressing mobile navigation, formatting and content display.

New Features

No new features introduced in this release.

Enhancements

  • CTA Button Component
    • Updated to use the default background color of green for visual consistency.
  • Mobile Unit Site Name
    • Added functionality to make the unit site name clickable in the mobile header.
  • Contextual Navigation Component
    • Improved performance and publishing reliability of the Contextual Navigation component.
    • Resolved issues related to loading accuracy and start-level behavior.
    • Introduced a limit of 50 child items to optimize rendering and performance.
  • All Links and Media Paths
    • Improved system reliability by defaulting all URLs and media paths to lowercase.
  • Publishing Improvements
    • Implemented various updates to enhance publishing reliability and stability.

Bug Fixes (Platform)

  • Featured News & Events Titles
    • Fixed an issue where the event title displayed incorrectly for upcoming events.
  • Dropdown Menu Overlap on Mobile
    • Fixed an issue where text from the Brand Bar could overlap mobile navigation menu items.
  • Browser Font Size Changes
    • Fixed an accessibility issue that prevented browser font size settings from changing text size on the website.
  • Header Branding
    • Corrected an issue where the MSU helmet and wordmark could be missing from the header.

Bug Fixes (MSUToday)

  • Story Cards
    • Fixed an issue where Story Card eyebrow tags could link to the wrong story on the MSUToday homepage.
  • Media Contacts Display
    • Fixed an issue where media and author contacts displayed with incorrect formatting and spacing.
